I am a test administrator for IBM's Blade Centre solutions. We have 14 blades per chassis that all share the same switch and I need to set up a peer to peer NFS share per each blade. I can not set a NIS domain for each blade due to test condition requirements. How can I configure SFU for simple peer to peer drive sharing?

You don't need to be running NIS for NFS server or NFS Client.
You can also use files (password and group files).
Or do nothing and the UID's/GID's will always be anonymous. Which is fine in many circumstances.

All computers with SFU are peers. Anyone of them can, equally, export or mount NFS filesystems.
So all of your machines can NFS export their filesystems; all of them can mount.

Since UID's and GID's are part of the protocol between NFS client and server it is always suggested
that the Username Mapping (UNM) be used. UNM only needs to run on one machine that all of the
SFU machines consult. That machine can be anywhere on the network. So the UNM could be outside
the switch, or you could designate just one of the blades.

It's asking for a path for the password and group files... where are they located?
