Greetings,

Wanting to get some tighter integration between our Windows and UNIX hosts. All current UNIX to UNIX is done through SSH - is this capability included in SFU3.5 I've checked the Whitepapers and docs but there is no specific mention of it.

Many thanks in advance
Tony

No, it is not included with SFU 3.5 -- that's why the /Tools warehouse has it [:)]

If you install the /Tools Interix installer you can then add packages from the
warehouse which includes OpenSSH. Each package is a binary release and will load
any/all packages depended upon at the same time.

Thanks for that. Problem is I can't get at the tools due to FTP restrictions on internal hosts such as the one I want to install SSH on.
Is there some other way to download the package tools and packages to the SFU host and install packages locally.

Thanks
Tony

Well, the ftp client can work with a proxy. So if you have either an ftp or an http proxy this may work.
If you can, off of the warehouse web page, download stuff via your browser then the proxy should work.
Install the "bootstrap" and then set the env var "ftp_proxy" to "http://192.168.0.1:8000" or whatever.

The other path is to order the Toolworks CD. You can get this as an downloadable ISO or as a real CD.
