wolfverine -> SUA Installation - Questions. (Feb. 20, '06, 9:34:55 AM)

Hello.

I have several questions about SUA and W2003 R2.

SUA replaces SFU?

Is it possible to install SFU 3.5 on Windows 2003 R2?

Is it possible to install SUA in another repertory that C:\WINDOWS\SUA ?

For are the installation in line of order, which the names of the components to be written in section ADDLOCAL?

Thank you and greetings from France.[;)]

Yes and no.
SFU has been made end-of-line but it continues to be offered for free for Windows OS's
prior to 2003/R2 (32 bit). SFU is a collection of different components one of which is
Interix. SUA is the Interix subsystem included with 2003/R2 plus the MS utilities download.

It is possible.

The order doesn't matter since they have dependencies. So you can name them as you think of them.

Hello and Thank you.

I try to install SUA with the command:
msiexec /I D:\setup.msi /qb addlocal="BaseUtils" targetdir="c:\dir"

but the target is always C:\WINDOWS\SUA

An error in the command line ?

Thanks.

It wasn't "targetdir" ever before.
These are variables that vary from product to product.

For SFU it is "SFUDIR" (e.g. "SFUDIR=C:\XXX").
You can try "SFUDIR" (they may not have changed it) or "SUADIR".
