I checked, and it's enabled on the registry. Just in case I reinstalled the SDK, to no avail.
Also, on the registry there is is a DWORD "EnableSuToRoot" that's defaulted to 0. Couldn't find any information about it, though...

Yeah, new stuff that they haven't told anyone about. And haven't documented.
Guessing (cause no one's told me either) that you want to change this to 1 and reboot.

I just booted Vista RC1 and found this registry doesn't seem to be affecting su.
Perhaps you mistyped the admin password before.
