Am aware the binary packages are located at: ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/6.0-x86/ ... though some markedly newer than some others, the source for creating said packages appear to be completely AWOL?

The source directory on the FTP: ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/src/ ... only has the various tools that were for SFU3.5 (perhaps older). I'm asking as I'm trying to get a more current version of GTK+ (and its mass of dependencies) installed and working.

This in addition to the fact for GPL compliance the source for pre-compiled binaries must be made available via a gratis media (eg: HTTP).

It's the same sources. There are no changes. The majority of the packages
for x86 are symlinks back to the 3.5 versions. Similar for the x64.
The only reason you might see newer dates is that those symlinks were made
more recently. The GTK+, etc. packages haven't been updated for a long time.
They were a real pain to do back then because of the awful build scripts that
were created.

No, that's not true. That's not what the GPL says.
We have been providing the sources via ftp without charge.
I began a reorg of the srcs quite a while back and it kept getting pushed
down the to-do list. I've just checked that all of the GPL, Common, etc.
licenced srcs are there on the ftp site.
