Server: UnKnown (my dns server is not in dns - previously not a problem - and still may not be :) )
Address: 192.168.0.1:53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: ftp.interopsystems.com

/etc/resolv.conf:
# This file was automatically generated on Sun Oct 8 04:08:36 @tzres.dll 2006
#
search

lookup file bind

system:

The ":53" is the port that DNS is served on.
It's looking to machine 192.168.0.1 to server the requests because
that's what's listed in /etc/resolv.conf and also what is in the
registry (or there may be junk in the registry).

You can edit the /etc/resolv.conf and put the right DNS IP address (which
will work for Interix), and/or you can adjust the values in the registry
via the control panel's network panel (which should work for Interix and
Windows).

The DNS IP's may be wrong because it's not doing a setup of dial-up or something.
I don't know your setup there.
