The OpenSSL development group announced last week a new
version for a DoS attack fix. Visit www.openssl.org for
more information. The new version is 0.9.7d.
A binary package for Interix for 0.9.7d is now available
for download. You can install/update by doing:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/3.5/openssl-current-bin.tgz
There are some other binary packages that link to the OpenSSL
libraries and these will be re-linked over the next day or so.
They will be announced as they happen.

I've added shared library support to openssl.
The latest version is 0.7.7d.1.
There are no bug fixes, etc. So this is not a critical
update. Having shared libraries means that applications
using openssl will be less resource intensive when
multiple instances are running.
To update/install do:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/3.5/openssl-current-bin.tgz
(yes, it does include a pkgconfig file in /usr/local/ssl/lib/pkgconfig.)
