Looking for info on getting gcc or cc for interix 2.2. According to the documentation, it is included with interix 2.2, I have installed Windows services for Unix 3.0 but I cannot seem to find it anywhere, no man pages, not included in any of the standard places... Did I miss something in the install, are these part of the standard install, or do I have to do the custom install?
I found cpp which I thought was the pre-processor for the g++ compiler, but that is all?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Your message is a bit confusing.
Interix 2.2 is a product itself (in a package).
Service for Unix (SFU) 3.0 includes Interix 3.0.
The upgrade path is 2.2 to 3.0.
Both 2.2 and 3.0 include gcc. During the installation you need to select that it will be installed. By default Interix is installed for the subsystem and the commands and utilities. Gcc is not installed by default. During the installation you need to select a custom install. With the custom install you want to expand out all of the options and choose the GNU/gcc SDK option.
If you have already installed then you can update the installation through the add/remove panel by selecting Microsoft Windows SFU' s " change" button.

With 3.0 the version of gcc is 2.7.2. There is an update to gcc version 3.3 available in the Interop Systems ' /Tools' Warehouse. We recommend using it over the 2.7.2 version.
