A new release of openssh is available: version 3.8p1
This will have the release number of 3.8.0.1.
The "0" (zero) in there is a space-holder to reserve a spot
for the nextmciro release. This should keep the patch number
in the 4th spot.
For the most part this is a sync with the source update.
Some Interix specific changes are that the username sent
with ssh will no longer be fully qualified with
the domain name ("RED+dwarf" before versus "dwarf" now).
There is a specific Interix option '-Q' which when used
will revert things back to the fully qualified name.
It is linked against the lastest OpenSSL library.
To install the latest do:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/3.5/openssh-current-bin.tgz

A couple of people have asked about the release of 3.8p1 for Interix how
p1 (the portable/non-OpenBSD version) could be released 24/March when the
OpenSSH web site says 19/April was the release. Almost a month difference.
What "gives"? Work on p1 was posted as it was being changed. The OpenBSD
version is the base platform and 3.8 was done 24/Feb. I noticed that for p1
the work wasn't done when I snapped a copy. However, the changes added to the
portable version that Interix uses are very few. So it was usable for my porting
purposes.
