I was using the ssh client (for Interix) to connect to a box running the sshd (daemon; for Interix) and the connect failed.
It complained about a file descriptor not being dup' d.
The connection seems fine to other systems.
Is there some special setting or something?
The Interix machine that ssh is running on is a laptop with W2K and SFU3.0.

If a file descriptor couldn' t dup then it' s not something with
the ssh client.
If the net connection between the two systems is not good then
this could be the cause of the problem.
Since the system running ssh is a laptop the NIC driver can sometimes get confused when the cable gets disconnected and the laptop is moved around. I ran into this when testing the port.
A reboot of the system cleared up the confusion the laptop appeared to be having (only 1 NIC, but it thought it had two: with one of them active and the other disconnected).
So I' d just reboot the laptop and try it again.
