I'm trying to install cvs. The pkg_add works fine, it goes to collect all the dependencies. Up until gettext, everything is fine. The installer hangs on gettext because gettext wants env_manpath_localshare. That one doesn't seem to be available. Where might I look?

The package for env_manpath_localshare exists and is on the ftp site.
If there is an ftp connection problem you can try installing just that
package by itself. You can do:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/3.5/env_manpath_localshare-current-bin.tgz
AH-HA, which version of the install are you using?
You should update to the latest version: 1.6.
There was a problem with the earlier versions about n-level dependencies.
This was announced back on 11/May. You can update the installer with the installer
by doing:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/3.5/pkg-current-bin.tgz
