User Name Mapping Problem - Jan. 7, '05, 9:30:33 AM

I have a win2k sp4 machine, not joined to a domain. I've pulled over the
group and passwd files, specified only the host and remote PC in .maphosts.
The problem I'm experiencing is in the MMC, when I click Show User Maps I get "unable to
access User Name Mapping Server.

I've restarted the service, verified security permissions on passwd and
group and verified .maphosts and ensured the User name mapping server has the correct name. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Simon

When you go through the SFU management GUI to set up the user maps
there should be 2 boxes saying "Windows Domain Name". These boxes should
have the name of the machine in it ("\\MACHINENAME"). Do they?
