sftp is forcing user to uppercase

if type

sftp myserver.xxx.net

it forces my user connection to:



which the server rejects becauses my user id on the is lower case and is a Linux environment.

Is there anyway to prevent this.

Help please...

This is a new one to me.
There's no code to change the case.
Though, why do you repeat the information?
You write:
> sftp myserver.xxx.net

All you need is " sftp ". Try this instead.

Oops I was using the wrong syntax. It must be defaulting to my machine which is the same as by userid but uppercase.
