Announcing the BETA release of openssh version 4.0.0.1.0 (aka 4.0p1) for Interix.
Why is it BETA?
This package is used so much, by so many people and there are enough potential "dark corners"
that it's best to have a BETA release. This is done as a safety so people don't roll it out to
all of their production machines without first giving it a test.
That stated, I've done the usual tests and things seem fine. So I anticipate that
this will roll into the regular packages directory after an appropriate amount of time.
There are a couple of issues being looked into that are under discussion in some of
the Forum threads (ssh-agent being the most recent example). But, by-and-large,
these don't affect most people using openssh. These outstanding issues also appear
to be in a "security safe" mode.
To install/update do:
pkg_add ftp://ftp.interopsystems.com/pkgs/beta/openssh-current-bin.tgz .
