Our IT department has a volume purchase agreement for Hummingbird Exceed ver. 8.0.0.22, which does not seem to know/support the Interix default DISPLAY=localhost:0.0. Instead, it seems to insist on "localhost:1.0". By contrast, the Exceed 9.0 product (which I've purchased individually) correctly answers to an xterm asking for "localhost:0.0". Does anyone know how to get Exceed 8.0.* to accept incoming X11 connections on "localhost:0.0"?

I can, of course, change the default system-wide environment variable DISPLAY in the Windows' ...->[System]->[Advanced]->[Environment Variables...] dialog, but that may "damage" other programs assumptions.
