Can SFU be configured for an exisiting Sun NIS domain? If so where can I configure
the domain name?
Would I still need name mapping?
TIA

SFU does just NIS, not NIS+.
After that SFU becomes the NIS server.
User name mapping is separate from NIS. So you may or may not still need to do mapping
depending on what else you are doing. If you are using NFS, then you should do mapping.

Can SFU be configured to bind directly to my existing Sun NIS domain?
I don't want an SFU NIS server if possible.

Nope.
If you want to try and do the order of a Windows box included under the administrative
control of a Unix machine then you need to run Kerberos and LDAP. Then have the Windows
box join the Kerbos realm, etc. NIS doesn't supply/store enough information.
