Seems we last about 3 weeks before the system becomes unusable and needs a reboot.
Sometimes it's the SFU subsystem, I.e. the Interix part that dies but this morning we had just a blue screen and had to power off/on. When the sub system quits we've been able to do a normal restart from windows to get back to business.
I'm just wondering what others are experienceing and whether we should just schedule a reboot each weekend, or?
While not a fan of scheduled reboots, an unscheduled lockup is even worse.
All suggestions/comments appreciated. The system is a Dual CPU Acer Server, 4gb memory.
This one was our first Win2003/SFU install and has been running for over a year. No hot-fixes applied. Has anyone had similar problems, applied hot-fixes and have problems then gone away?
There is no special/extra activity preceeding a lock-up, I.e. all appears normal until the system 'locks'.
TIA
