I have had my SFU install up and running ok with username mapping working just fine with my NFS mounted filesystems.
Having not used SFU for a week or two and just come back to it I have found that the username mapping is not working properly. I have had a good look at all the trouble shooting and tried all the obvious routes to resolve this but nothing is helping me.
The symptoms are:
1) listing files on NFS mounted disk shows mapped usernames properly
2) as soon as I try to create or act on a file the username and group that is being used is
not being mapped correctly - ie user=nouser, group=nobody.
So it seems that reading from NFS is ok but writing to it is not.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I seem to have resolved this problem by re-mapping the network drive to the NFS disk. It looks like when the PC (where I run SFU and UNM) starts up, it connects the mapped network disks incorrectly and loses the name-mapping for write-requests (ok for read).
