I use CVS/RCS on many different Unix/Linux systems. I have installed the recent TOOLs on Windows 2003 R2 SUA.
cvs works create for most functions except for when I go to post a changed module back. I get the following problem.

/home/tipsrc/tools/src/slr:127 >cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
/u/TIPSRC/CVSSRC/tipsrc/tools/src/slr/Makefile,v <-- Makefile
new revision: 4.4; previous revision: 4.3
cvs [commit aborted]: cannot rename file /u/TIPSRC/CVSSRC/tipsrc/tools/src/slr/,Makefile, to /u/TIPSRC/CVSSRC/tipsrc/tools/src/slr/Makefile,v: Text file busy

Does anyone have an idea for how I could work around this problem?

Thanks

Is the "/u" drive a local filesystem or a network mounted filesystem?

Sorry, I forgot to add that this is using NFS.
/u/TIPSRC is a link to Z: which is an NFS mount on an HPUX system.

AS follows:

/usr/lib:49 >net use
New connections will be remembered.

Status Local Remote Network

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z: \\hp2405\home1\u\TIPSRC NFS Network
The command completed successfully.

/usr/lib:50 >cd /u
/u:51 >l
