I installed the package for MC but I'm getting this error message
$ mc
mc: error in loading shared libraries
libglib-2.0.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
$
Any one has an idea?

Did you start a fresh shell before invoking mc ? You need to.
Check the o/p of pkg_info to see that the libglib package
has installed too.
