I'm trying to send html email using mutt but can't seem to get it right, I.e. always comes out as plain text.

Attachments work ok but I'd like to get the html into the body. (it's an order confirm that I'd like to format using html)

Have tried various MUTT resources to no avail so I'm hoping that perhaps here someone is doing similar and can pass on some info.

I'm not adverse to changing email client but I'd like to stay inside Interix on SFU 3.5.

Thanks in advance

The mail message as far as an MTA is concerned is just text.
It's the MUA that will look it over and decide what actions to take or not take.
You're only interested in what the destination MUA does. How the creator/source
MUA displays it won't matter.

When you create mail to have HTML in it you have to account that the destination
MUA may either not be capable of, or has turned off HTML interpretation.
So you create two attachments (MIME format):
The first one is plain text. This is a copy of the HTML or an explanation of
what you want the person to do if they can't see the HTML.
The second is the actual HTML attachment. It has to have all of the
HTML coding you have on a regular web page (doc-type, <HTML>, <HEAD>, <BODY>, etc.)
