Hello,

I have been making backups of unixware boxes to a Dell powervault 745N NAS (with Windows Storage Server 2003 including SFU).

A directory on the NAS is mounted as an nfs volume where the unixware boxes write their backup files.
It has worked very well for 2 months.

But now, some of the backups fail. I have discovered that there is some sort of limitation to the size of the file that can be writen to the NAS via NFS. This limit seems to be about 10 Gb.

I have been looking on microsoft's site at the document describing the performance optimisation of the nfs server but there are no information about a limitation of file size. I find nothing anywhere on the net about this.

Does someone have an idea about this ?

Thank you,
Guy
