On my new PC (XP SP2) I've enabled Data Execution Protection (DEP) Hardware support in the BIOS. Since then, I got onle core dumps from SFU 3.5. Is this a known problem? Can it be cured, or do I have to switch off DEP?

You need to switch off DEP. See
