I have windows 2003 R2 newest release. I tried to create an automount map using Serivces for NIS.
When I run the command below on the Master and Subordinate NIS Servers;
nismap create -i 1 -g " " -y auto.master
I receive the error;
Invalid extension in map name. extension = '.master'
I then tried;
nismap create -i 1 -g " " -y auto_master
Only to receive;
Activity = Creating map = 'auto.master'...
FAILURE
adding NIS entries to AD
I also tried using the NIS Migration Wizard, but there is no option to specify that "the key is not part of the value for this map". I knew that SFU v.3.5 has that option in wizard but not in this version.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you

I think it's an issue with R2. PSS guys should be able to help you.
