Hi all,
I need to be able to log into a 2003R2 server and run some batch files, which in turn run MASM, but that will be a whole different problem! If possible at all from what I read in the FAQ.
Is it possible to set a users shell to DOS so that the DOS batch scripts will work? I don't see any dos shell listed in /etc/shells.
If there isn't a way to give a user a DOS shell, what are my options? I see there is a telnet service that lets the user run DOS, but being telnet I can't do a passwordless login. Do I need to hunt down a win32 rshd from and older SFU?
Thanks,
~Al (newbie to working on windows...)

well to answer my own question...
it seems that adding /dev/fs/C/WINDOWS/system32/cmd.exe to /etc/shells and running chsh accomplishes what I need. At least it seems to be a valid win32 environment. Now just to get the PATH set to something useful automatically and get regpwd working... :-)
Cheers,
~Al
