I've downloaded and installed the Interix 6.0 (SUA) on Vista Beta2 now.

Nothing too different from the previous MSI installs. Some phrasing changed
but nothing confusing or anything like that. I've installed, so far, on a
32-bit 2.5Ghz Intel with a SATA drive. Once I made my selections through the
custom choice (install everything) it took about 15 minute and then a reboot.

I was surprised to see that the utilities are still the same ones as released
for Interix 5.2 (SUA on R2). I thought this would be good time to live test
the utilities that have been updated so far (more continue to be updated).
I guess that'll have to be for an RC (release candidate) on Vista.
Thus the "install.htm" for reading makes all of its references to R2 (this
includes any reference to Beta 2).

One of the nice things about Vista is that the default home directory is a
more "normal" path as far as the Unix folks go. And this is in the Win32 space.
So "C:\Users\username". But understand, as before, that the setting of HOME to
"/dev/fs/C/Users/username" does not set the home directory in the user
database. So applications looking for correctness (and security) still need
the user database to get set for a home directory.

For those wanting to install /Tools packages:
As before install the bootstrap installer from ftp site.
Install the bootstrap installer depending on your machine type: 32 or 64 bit.
For 32 bit use: pkgs/boostrap/pkg-current-bin35.tar.gz
For 64 bit use: pkgs/bootstrap/pkg-current-bin52authenticamd.tar.gz
IA users on 64 bit should use the 32 bit for now.

New features in the Subsystem are availble with this Beta2 release.
This includes support for IPv6.
A more comprehensive list should be available in the future I'll venture.

Questions? Comments?
Post away!

Just a quick addition.
Do start the installation with "setup.exe" -- don't start the MSI directly.
With the "least privilege" changes on Vista, you need to start the install
with "setup.exe". This is the default action when you unzip the download
anyway, but it's been mentioned as happening with some testers at MS.
