I am planning to setup an IT services company which will provide offshore IT Services in the areas of
- OpenSource
- DotNet
Platforms we need to work on
- Linux
- Windows
Databases
- Oracle 9i, 10G, 10GR2
- MySQL
- DB2
- SQL Server
Application Servers
- Websphere
- Weblogic
- Jboss
Web/HTTP Servers
- IIS
- Tomcat
- Apache
Currently we have our few desktops assigned for every individual projects and I clearly understand that these resources aren’t clearly utilized.
I would like to setup a server which can manage the following
- All the database multiple instance and multiple version in a server
- All App servers in a single server
Same for other requirements too..
Still since oracle requires per CPU, Per Processor, Per Client license, Per Server License. I am not sure how to model the above mentioned servers. Basically how to partition, setup and install things
To be honest I am not even sure what is the difference between a server motherboard and a desktop motherboard, what hardware we require, and what supporting softwares we require for Security/Firewall, Backup and other dependant services
So my humble request is if some of you can help me with a IT infrastructure (hardware, software) for 100 people organization including LAN network setup I will be really thankful
