Suddenly $TERM=xterm is invalid in XTerm?! The only change to the box was applying the July black tuesday Microsoft patch and rebooting.
Welcome to the SUA utilities.
Interix prometheus 5.2 SP-9.0.3790.2075
csh: No entry for terminal type "xterm"
csh: using dumb terminal settings.
%
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I don't know why this started... But I have a fix that worked. I added a symlink.
% ln -s /usr/share/terminfo/x/xterm /usr/local/share/terminfo/xterm
Now it is fixed.
