SFU3.5 unexpected exception - Jul. 27, '06, 7:32:30 AM

Hello, I installed SFU 3.5 on windows 2003 server.
When I type mem , or print a file, I got memory fault.
In the eventlog of windows I got unexpected exception pid=1107 cid=0x1680.0x14d0 code=0xc0000028 fc=0

Installing SFU on Windows 2000 server does not give any problem
Any idea what causes this problem ?

Where are you typing "mem" from? An Interix/SFU shell? or a CMD.EXE window?
Is it regular 2003 or R2?

SFU doesn't do anything with the print drivers or anything like that.

I type mem from an Interix/SFU shell.
It is regular 2003.

If I type mem from a cmd.exe window it works fine.

In addition, if I print form SFU, the file is printed but it remains in the ..\sfu\temp directory
As if the command is broken , the temp file is not removed because of the memory fault

The mem utility is a shell script that runs the Win32 program.
The key part is "shell script".
For W2K3 there is KB 899522. It relates about shell scripts failing when SP1 is applied.

If your machine is SMP (multi-CPU) there is (most recently) KB 917960
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917960/en-us)

Contact MS support and they should send one or the other (the patches are cumulative).
There shouldn't be a charge for it by the end of it.
