I am attempting to use the mount command to create NFS mounts to different UNIX share. The mount command is placed in a batch file that is launched as part of user login (from the startup folder.) I keep getting the following error and have not found any information about what causes this error and how to remedy:

"Another instance of this command is already running. Please retry this command after some time. In case this condition persists try the 'net use' syntax for mounting or unmounting NFS shares."

Any help/insight into this problem would be greatly
appreciated.

The message seems pretty clear to me

It would seem that it could be a "serialization thing" (I'm guessing here).

What have you tried to workaround it? Have you tried putting in sleeps between mounts?
Or does this happen with the very first use of mount?
What options are you using (such as soft mounts)?
