Hi all,
I last used SFU/Interix a couple of years ago, and am trying to take another stab at it. I installed the 3.5 stuff (I think? README shows January 2004) and the SFU35-KB899522-X86-ENU.exe hotfix for W2K3SP1. Stuff seems to be working, except that bash is core dumping. I also added the /noexecute=AlwaysOff to boot.ini and that didn't seem to help. Struggling out of the gate already here. I'm lost without bash. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
edit: Actually this isn't just bash, it's everything... I tried to install squid on this box and its dumping core too. Any ideas?
Thanks

It will be the DEP issue causing the core.
Did you reboot after making the boot.ini change?

Yes, is there way to see if its active?
edit: just checked, there was another /noexecute in the boot.ini entry which was getting read, causing the new one to be ignored
edit2: note to self: DO NOT INSTALL MAJOR SYSTEM SOFTWARE AT 1 AM
