Vim works but gvim dies with an error; 'E665: Cannot start GU, no valid font found'.
ring any bells with anyone?

Given your previous posting about Xming X-server not getting the kybd input to an xterm
there's a good chance it's the X-server. Actually it's pretty likely because the X-server is
responsible for this. Same suggestions as before: try another X-server or an earlier version
of Xming.

Looks like the env var thing that fixed xterm also fixed the gvim thing. I have to kick off gvim with a nofork arg else it just exits straight out but other than that it's just fine.
