The list is long. I don't think I can remember them all off the top of my head.
So others should be able to add some more.
Some are just "generic" to working with tex, while others are more source code specific.
ed, sed, vi/vim, emacs/joe, awk, grep, col, colrm, rev, expand, unexpand, cat, flip, indent,
csplit, sort, fmt, spell, nedit, lam, join, cut, caesar, md5/cksum, pr
ed, sed, awk and grep are used a lot in shell scripts.
